• 10 week intern competition, worked with a team of 5 other interns to develop an application used to track the safety status of employees during an emergency situation. • The application was based on a 3 tier architecture model of a frontend web-based GUI, a backend application, and an Oracle database. The GUI and the backend application were written in Java, with the GUI utilizing the ICEfaces framework. The GUI and backend application communicated with each other via a webservice running in a Weblogic container, and it was written using the Spring framework. • Various tools were used for development and testing such as Eclipse, Maven, SOAPUI, and Oracle SQLDeveloper. • Presentation was created and delivered to various levels of management including directors and vice-presidents.
