Programming is my passion. I started in 1994 when I got into high school. My first language was GW-BASIC, then I discovered QBasic. I was then introduced to Turbo Pascal in '97 which I really liked. My senior year, I was introduced to Visual Basic/C++ at J. Everett Light. I got a job at a local ISP where I got my first taste of (SCO) Unix and picked up a little ColdFusion. I learned SQL and COBOL/AS400 during my somewhat short stint at college. In 2001, I got into Linux (RH 6) and later discovered Debian-based distros. I moved from Indiana to Florida in 2003 and didn't have as much free time to write code. The skills I had weren't very marketable and DotNet/Web Apps were becoming more "mainstream" (There weren't exactly any Basic/Pascal jobs). In 2004, I got a job with a web host supporting resellers who were using various platforms and technologies (eg. MySql, Apache, IIS, SqlServer, PostgreSQL, Windows, Linux) in a clustered environment. During that time, I got into PHP for a short while. In 2005, I got a job supporting Napster customers in a Call Center environment. In less than a year, I was promoted to Level 2 support because of my unique approach to problem solving. In that position, I designed various support tools to simplify tedious tasks with button clicks using Visual Basic. These tools were hosted on an un-official support site, but ultimately moved to Napster's domain. The savings these tools provided were phenomenal. I joined the IT department in 2005, but prior to doing so, I spec'd out a web app to help my replacement manage
