Because we serve policyholders all over the country, it is a high volume, fast paced environment. I spoke to customers on a daily basis, handled claims files within a specific time frame, resolved problems as they arised and ensured the customers claim is handled quickly, efficiently and with outstanding professionalism. Files are audited & calls are monitored on a monthly basis to ensure quality, efficiency and high level customer service. Because of my excellent customer service and quality results, I excelled within the department and was promoted to the SAT Team which is a specialized unit within the department that handles high priority claims request. After 3 years in Centralized Services I received a promotion to the Claims Department. As a claims agent, I was required to continuously handle claims files and other job duties. My multi-tasking and time management skills played a key role in being able to maintain the pending files, take on new files while taking incoming calls from new and existing customers. Excellent communication & analytical skills were also vital to this position as I was responsible for making liability decisions and explaining the outcome to customers whether it was favorable or a denial of coverage.
