• Provided health policy subject matter expertise at an increasingly advanced level for an eight-state region. After multiple years working in the Midwest region leadership provided me with the opportunity to transition to the Mountain region to serve as the veteran team member and gain exposure to new regional stakeholder dynamics and policy issues.• Developed an advanced understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes by monitoring and analyzing an average 800 bills per legislative session from introduction through the final rulemaking process.• Chosen to participate as a state team representative on the internal AHIP Competition Agenda. • Created a State Team Policy Position resource by synthesizing information on AHIP’s priority issues, finding existing resources and identifying where resources needed to be developed, and led the discussion over several weeks with AHIP staff to finalize the product.• Drafted over 200 memos for external distribution. • Assumed interim AABB Director of Public Policy responsibilities while the department director position was vacant. Identified and described Medicare payment data trends by conducting a full analysis of the 2017 proposed Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System’s impact to the blood and stem cell transplant industry. • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills through presenting the Reliable and Effective Growth for Regenerative Health Options that Improve Wellness Act to AABB members; collected feedback and drafted AABB’s letter of opposition that was submitted to Senator Kirk.• Project managed the revision process of two donor history questionnaire versions after identifying new and revised FDA recommendations for donors of hematopoietic progenitor cells as the staff liaison to AABB’s Uniform Donor History Questionnaire Task Force.• Drafted testimony for the Vice President of the Center for Cellular Therapy in support of the current Food and Drug Administration framework for the industry.• Collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to draft and submit AABB’s positions on four Food and Drug Administration guidance documents.• Managed multiple work assignments in parallel to meet competing deadlines of various projects.• Served as the staff liaison to the CT Regulatory Affairs subsection; facilitated all monthly meeting logistics including coordinating speakers, developing and distributing agendas, and hosting conferences and webinars.
