The problem solving was carried out by employing a specific problem solving method called GSTD (Go, See, Think, Do). A crucial element of this project involved having the support and guidance from all those who were familiar with the functioning of the machine, those who were accustomed with the methodology in place and also those who had experienced encountering the problem in the past.Implementing technical changes and adjustments on certain parts of the machine and improving some of the standards carried out by the operators, was the ultimate result of the action plan issued by the teams working on the project. In conclusion, it is worth noting that although technical changes were adopted, making the users of the machine understand the good techniques and practices necessary to avoid soiling issues was evidently a critical element.
