• Did Bachelors in Electronic Engineering in First class FIRST position from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro(MUET)-Pakistan in 1983. • Appointed as a Lecturer in MUET in 1982.• Completed PhD in 1990 from Electronics and Computer Science Department, University of Southampton, England. • Joined MUET as an Associate Professor in 1990 and organized a mega event “TECHNO-91”. • In 1993, I was appointed as a Chairman of the Electronics Engineering Department. Served as a chairman fir nearly 2 decades and during my chairmanship I also established two new departments viz-a-viz Telecommunication Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. • In 2007-08 I Completed one year Postdoctoral Fellowship /Visiting Professorship from one of the world’s best Institution, the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, UK. • My research work in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks has resulted into a number of publications and I have the honour of becoming one of the editors of the book “Wireless Networks, Information Processing and Systems”, CCIS 20, recently published by Springer Verlag, Germany. • In 2008, I was appointed as a Director, Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (IICT) MUET.• In April 2011, I was appointed Dean Faculty of Electrical, Electronics and computer Engineering. Departments of Telecommunication, Software and Biomedical Engineering also comes under this faculty.• In May 2011, I was appointed meritorious Professor (BPS 22) and continued till Dec 2018..
