About Sean P.

My career as an IT leader truly took off with my first significant leadership role as an IT Program Manager during my first tenure with Sun Microsystems. I assembled a five-member technical team and together, we delivered the first web-based global electronic document publishing system that reduced product documentation costs by $3M+ annually. It was my first taste of success as a leader, and I was hooked. My passion for enterprise IT challenges burns just as fierce today. The difference now is the knowledge and extensive track record of success I bring to the table, which provides technology and project management insights that only come from experience. The list of credits has grown to include the completion of numerous IT infrastructure projects from ground-up constructions to historical building conversions to major remodels, all requiring a firm and steady hand to guide technology implementation and optimization on an enterprise level. Specific examples include designing and building out the USi (now AT&T) West Coast data center, migrating the California Poison Control System networks to a cloud/Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and several consolidation projects I have executed with BPR that have reduced IT costs by over $250K annually. As my responsibilities have grown, so have my leadership skills. What began with the leadership of a five-member team with Sun has culminated in my current role directing IT staff covering 12 hotel operations for BPR. I have come to fully understand that no matter the technological advances, everything still begins with people. Great leadership is predicated on an ability to train, motivate, and empower teams to succeed. We achieve success together, not alone. The combination of my experience, expertise, and fully realized leadership abilities makes me a difference maker in defining and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure. No matter how the technology evolves, I love it all just as much now as when I first started out.
