In September 2020, Bluprint was acquired by TNMarketing and rebranded back to Craftsy.In September 2018, Craftsy was rebranded to Bluprint.In July 2017, Craftsy was acquired by NBCUniversal.In April 2011, Craftsy was launched focusing specifically on the Crafting space.In April 2010, Sympoz was founded focusing on disrupting the e-learning space launching in many different categories.Over the years, my teams and i worked with every other department in the company to build a product that our users loved. We built and managed the consumer facing website as well as the internal tools and integrations. Post acquisition, we implemented a CMS to help the marketing and content teams streamline their output and workflows.As a co-founder I helped define the product and brand of Sympoz and Craftsy. I met with initial investors, participated in fundraising, and built out all of the original front end JSP, HTML, Javascript, and CSS, as well as some of the Java and data models on a Spring/Hibernate/J2EE/Tomcat deployed in AWS.Over the years i hired, managed, and mentored front end engineers, mobile engineers, data science engineers, backend engineers, UX developers, UX designers, product managers, marketing managers, as well as frontend and backend architects. I led teams of both junior and senior individual contributors, managers, and directors, and helped institute informal and formal mentorship programs. I worked to set goals at an individual, squad, and team level, and helped to define company level strategies, goals, and initiatives with the executive team. During my time i held various titles -- VP Engineering, VP Development, VP Engagement.
