Delivery of Functional Skills qualifications in ICT, English and Maths (Entry Level 1 to Level 2) and Improving English and Maths courses.

As a Curriculum & Pupil Related Committee Member of the Governing body, I conducted timely monitoring visits to assess English, Maths and ICT aspect of the curriculum. This involved constructive, critical evaluations through class visits, speaking to teachers and reporting back to the Governing body. The purpose was to ensure that the Governing body and the school conformed to educational standards as laid down by Ofsted.

Training of individuals and organisations in ICT, Life Skills and job search techniques.

Responsible for the implementation of all IT training within the organisation and the management of 3 franchised and 14 satellite Learndirect centres across England. I was also required to teach English, Maths and ICT Skills for Life sessions.Two of my learners were also nominated for the NIACE Learner of the Year Award.

Undertaking short term ICT teaching contracts with local businesses. Topics included: Web development, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Publisher) and Open Office application software.

Time Computers produced PCs and laptop computers for domestic and business use. Primarily there were a mail order company but ventured into retail. My main task was to train the staff of 280 stores (which consisted of standalone and concessionary outlets) on the latest products each month.Good time management and organisational skills, together with key ICT hardware and software knowledge was essential.
