Overall responsibility for the successful implementation of the Motor-Operated Valve program at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant. Initial program based on NRC Generic Letters 89-10 and 96-05 but oversaw Monticello's transition to the ASME OMN-1 Code Case. The MOV program required the performance of calculations to establish appropriate switch settings to ensure the select safety-related population of MOVs are maintained such that they are able to perform their designated safety functions. This position also requires the determination of a maintenance strategy on all installed MOVs and the periodic diagnostic test performance (and trace analysis) of the safety-related MOVs.Duties expanded beyond the MOV program to include participation in the nuclear software quality assurance program as a software product manager, support of the site air-operated valve program, and providing guidance / mentoring to newly hired engineers.
