Responsible for all aspects of the business: strategic direction, finances, budgets, building and commissioning the list, managing freelance sales, foreign rights, editorial and marketing staff. Overseeing the full-time art director's role, specifically in terms of scheduling, prioritising projects and sticking to budgets. Business highlights include: the Blue Peter Book Award 'Best Book with Facts' in 2018, IPG Young Publisher of the Year 2018, Bookseller Rising Star 2018, reprinting our Spanish-English Picture Dictionary 22 times, selling our STEM Starters for Kids series in 23 languages, turning a profit year after year.

After a string of work experience placements, this was my first job in publishing. I managed sales of translation rights to Asia, Brasil, Portugal and Eastern Europe alongside providing general support to the Head of Rights and specific fulfilment duties for US co-editions and rights deals. This included providing files, managing production of deals, creating and administering contracts as well as negotiating on various commercial and contractual terms.
