Assist with the effective and consistent administration of collective bargaining agreements for the division. Effectively handle grievances in a manner that will protect the company’s right to effectively run the business. Establish and maintain a union/management relationship that will minimize the number of grievances, arbitrations or other charges.

Responsible for the recruitment of qualified individuals to meet the corporate and division recruitment strategy and staffing needs at all levels of the division, primarily focused on Management Training (Leadership Essentials) candidates. Assist with the accurate measurement and advancement of the division's diversity recruitment initiatives. Identify, develop, and support recruitment sources and methods to provide quality candidates for all positions. Manage the management training process and coach Leadership Essentials candidates to successfully complete the requirements of the program.

Assess daily the stores' ability to meet and exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, food safety and regulatory compliance. Assist with coaching and development of store associates through both formal and informal interactions.

Achieve the Front-end performance goals and best practices. Drive the department in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards.
