In my role of Product Manager in the Equiniti KYC I was responsible for development and maintenance of the KYCnet software - system (used mostly by the financial institutions) which ensures that clients have a consistent and regulatory compliant customer data set throughout the entire customer lifecycle.I spend most of my time preparing detailed requirements for user stories, up to acceptance criteria and interface design. It is important for me to align and agree the requirements with different stakeholders, therefore I try to involve them as much as possible in requirements validation. As most of the requirements come from our clients, I spend lots of time with Project Managers agreeing about the priorities, sprint scope and planning. As a Product Manager I work closely with different groups of stakeholders:- Scrum team (10+ developers) – getting user stories ready and discussing the requirements and functional/technical implementation approaches, preparing planning sessions, taking part in daily scrum and retrospective session, progress tracking, etc- Project Managers – collecting the client requirements, planning the requirements delivery and agreeing on priorities, progress reporting - Deployment Manager – discussing scope for each of the releases - Higher Management – progress reporting, preparation of product vision and business cases Additionally, I have a team lead role of the Product team, dividing the workload between my colleagues and myself, doing supportive HR tasks, evaluations and coaching.
