As a member of the founding technical team, I lead the architecture design and development across the platform. I'm involved with planning, hiring, project definition, hands-on coding (frontend + backend), code review, and managing our deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure.We're currently focused on the SimplyCodes website and browser extension. Sky Photo, Inc. is a small venture that I co-founded as a way to combine my love of electronics and photography. We use remote controlled craft at low altitude angles for aerial photography, resulting in unique, dramatic and unparalleled imagery. We service a wide range of project types from construction surveys and real estate to ski resorts and golf courses, and investigative applications such as property surveys, insurance claims and legal disputes.

Mosaic Sustainability (formerly Mosaic Labs) was a spin-off of Renewable Choice Energy with a mission to help companies perform greenhouse gas inventories for voluntary reporting and ESG-related initiatives.I lead the architecture and development of the flagship SaaS product, helped with the hiring/management of the engineering team and worked with the business development and consulting teams to ensure the product met customer needs and reporting/disclosure requirements. Our clients included several well-known fortune 500 companies.The product consisted of a Javascript SPA frontend (ExtJS) on top of a PHP and MySQL backend. We implemented data pre-aggregation to enhance report generation speeds and used various ETL techniques to get customer data into the system. The system included a novel calculation builder that automatically handled unit conversions (e.g. imperial to metric) and management of various multipliers/coefficients based on CDP climate reporting standards.My goal for the development team was to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement. I worked with the co-founders during the company's founding, helping design and develop their first application, Campaign Calendar, for the Salesforce AppExchange marketplace.Campaign Calendar allows users of the Salesforce CRM to visualize campaigns in a variety of calendar-based formats in order to keep track of and facilitate communication around upcoming marketing initiatives.Frontend: Visualforce, Javascript, jQuery, HTML, CSSBackend: Apex (Salesforce's strongly-typed, object-oriented programming language), Salesforce Objects / SOQL

I contracted with Renewable Choice during my last year of college, helping the business development team design and implement web-based sales tools with integration into the Salesforce CRM platform using their API and oAuth-based authentication.The tools included calculators for computing the impact of business operations, residential flight and auto travel, and LEED green power credit certification. The calculators were used on our website for lead generation as well as internally to streamline the sales process by allowing the team to generate PDF-based proposals and purchase agreements.In addition to developing sales tools, I assisted with the implementation of our Salesforce instance and performed a number of data scrapes for lead generation purposes.Technologies used: PHP, MODx (CMS), MySQL, Javascript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Salesforce (CRM)

I worked with founders of the MODx Content Management System to develop internal and public-facing web applications and custom integrations for a variety of clients. Some of the projects I worked on include: an image gallery with bulk upload feature, a store locator, Javascript widgets for presenting dynamic content, and a PHP-based textile (a type of markup language) parser.

Worked with individuals and small to medium-sized businesses to build, launch and improve web applications and web sites.Interacting with a diverse set of clients provides me with the opportunity to involve myself across many areas of development and with many different technologies.The types of freelance work I've done include: web app development; website development; mobile app development; e-commerce development; UX and accessibility improvements; API integration; database administration; data warehousing and data mining; graphics design and branding; photography/videography; IT operations planning and implementation; build and release management; and technical consulting. I worked with the Founder/CTO and rest of the team to manage and implement server and network infrastructure. My duties included researching and developing web server management tools to optimize our operational efficiency, setting up and administrating PBX/IP telephony, and maintaining a variety of Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and Windows NT/2000 servers. I also assisted in fielding support calls and emails, and worked to resolve issues with our customers' hosting accounts.

Assisted the team at MATRIX Integrated Solutions and SharpNET Solutions by implementing web sites and web applications. Built out W3C-compliant HTML/CSS code based on mock-ups that were provided by the designers, developed PHP code and designed the database for an insurance system, worked on the development of a custom shopping cart, and helped support in-house servers and workstations.
