Since my first highschool job as a dishwasher, I have had a relentless pursuit to learn, and prove myself. I am dedicated to a lifetime of education and growth.Every company I have worked for, big or small, I have held multiple titles and/or positions. Career stagnation is my fear, and company loyalty is one of my priorities. Since getting hired at DMS Design Company as a co-op electrical student, I have dipped my feet into; 1. Process Engineering. I have designed, and retrofitted existing electrical systems, that factor in serviceability and safety. I then created procedure manuals for these systems, so that they could be easily replicated. 2. Customer Service. Personally acquired new customers. Tailored machine/add-on suggestions to suit the GD&T requirements of the customer. Composed quotes, Pro Formas, warranty agreements, and after sale follow-ups and support.3. Creative/Marketing. When I was 18, I started my own hobby clothing brand, so I already had experience with photography, web design and marketing. I took these assets, and helped DMS rebuild their website, re-design their logo, created easy-to-read specification sheets for their potential customers, produced and edited videos which have to-date garnered over a million views on YouTube. I even hired/managed external creatives, such as voice-over artists and sound engineers.4. Machining. I learned to operate a 3-axis CNC machining center. I interpreted internal GD&T drawings and created conversational programs to quickly create components while I built electrical panels. I maintained the machine, and occasionally had to troubleshoot it.My skills span beyond my education and job experience. My beautiful spouse and I purchased a 1950's "money-pit" in a small cottage community, in Ontario. While both working full-time, in two years we completely remodeled the home, starting from stud and subfloor in at least 50% of the home. I re-wired many potentially hazardous lines/boxes, fixed water leaks, fixed plumbing leaks, replaced door headers with properly-sized, to-code headers... I could continue for paragraphs... Learning how to build and fix things is integral to who I am as a person. Even as mundane as learning to fix and service my spouse and my vehicles.I am devoted to developing a range of skills in and out of my professional life. I am willing to listen, learn and take constructive criticism. I am confident in myself, but I also know when to leave my ego at the door.
