I began working at the age of 16 for the City of Maple Grove doing field preparations for youth baseball games where I immediately learned to work quickly, efficiently, and with great diligence without supervision. In High School I enrolled myself in multiple business oriented classes along with a Web Design class and received the "Business Student of the Year" award, as well as the "Oriole Award" for outstanding leadership qualities and dedication. Once I turned 18, I became a sales associate at Golf Galaxy/Dick’s Sporting Goods for 18 months (off and on with college semesters) where I gained sales experience as well as customer service skills. I've since been working with Target as a Guest Advocate/Front-End Specialist since August of 2020 and have drastically honed my communication skills with guests, coworkers, and superiors. I've been praised on my leadership skills in addition to my natural ability to promote and maintain a positive and encouraging work environment.I'm currently in my senior year at Winona State University with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in Public Relations. I've taken a plethora of classes including both communication tactics/strategies, as well as public relations skills and techniques; these have made me a better communicator by granting me the conversational tools to efficiently and effectively portrait a message to an audience/recipient.My hobbies and interests include physical fitness/sports, teamwork and strategy games, and engaging in meaningful conversations with friends.I firmly believe that proper, efficient, and effective communication is the first step toward a better future in all aspects of life.
