•Manage a team of managers and local/offshore quality assurance engineers responsible for the qualification of media, USB, NAND and desktop integration for iPod, iPhone, iPad and AppleTV.•Hands-on manager (Test Lead, implementing and executing tests/test cases/performance metrics).•Manage defect tracking, author and publish test plans, team updates and test reports.•Manage test case and performance metrics execution by the test team.•Responsible for generation of overall SQA project status reports for delivery to executive team for iPod/iOS project status and final “ship/no ship” approval•Cross functional relationships with development teams, HW/SW project managers, marketing and other Apple Divisions (iTunes, Mass Storage, Technologies, iOS, MacOS, Systems).•Shipped products from first generation shuffle to latest iPhone/iPad/AppleTV.Areas of responsibility include media quality and correctness on device and compatibility with displays/TVs, USB Compliance, NAND part qualification, device to desktop interaction, field failure analysis, and factory line qualification.The USB Connectivity Compliance QA team verifies accessories, devices and iOS are USB.org and Windows host compliant, using industry standard tools and internal test methods and specifications. Using industry standard tools such as WHQL, USBIF-CV and Goldtree, along with mixed signal oscilloscopes, Windows host compatibility, accessory end-to-end testing and host current response testing.All teams utilize scripting, automation test harnesses and require QA test methodology and planning from prototype to product launch.
