FCIA covers sales to both domestic and foreign buyers, through a variety of policy types. My responsibilities included underwriting policy risk, by assessing the viability of buyers, through analysis of their financial position.

Clients included: Maryland Transit Administration, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Southern California Regional Railroad Assoc. Metrolink, Illinois Department of Transportation/WIU Downstate Transit Center, and Omaha (NE).

• Worked in the OMB Office of Federal FInancial Management
• Conducted a study on the implementation and cost-effectiveness of expanded agency payment audit requirements
• Attained 100% participation rate in study survey (17/17 agencies responded)
• Led Focus Group of representatives of seven federal agencies
• Produced a report on study findings to be submitted to appropriate Congressional committees as well as the Government Accountability Office

• Worked with MGH Research Core Facilities and Partners Healthcare Research Management to set pricing for core research services (DNA sequencing, biostatistics, etc.).

• Provided full time support at the Maurice J. Tobin School in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston as part of Americorps (a 10-month program where volunteers are paid a stipend for service work). The work included:

• Managing an after-school program for 30 children in grades 3-5.
