Benjamin performed clerk duties for a market maker in the soybeans options pit on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. He also created and implemented a VBA program that reconciled and identified differences between clearing firm statements and OptionsCity statements. Benjamin also designed Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to assist a local S&P 500 market maker in visualizing his active net positions across three different S&P 500 contract specifications throughout the trading day. Benjamin attended the Chicago Algorithmic Trading Conference and an algorithmic trading seminar run by Trading Technologies' Algo Design Lab.

Benjamin leads the Finance & Investment Societies' Investment Management segment. He has the responsibilities of organizing and participating in equities and derivatives trading competitions. Benjamin also manages the internal and external communication of the society, and maintains its social media presence.

Benjamin managed, researched using FactSet, and maintained the Consumer Staples stocks owned by the club valued at $10,000. As an analyst, he voted on portfolio decisions presented by other analysts, as well as presented investment ideas within the Consumer Staples sector. He also participated in the construction of a general portfolio theory for the club.
