Oversaw a diverse portfolio of 34 programs. With nine programs off-track or failing upon assumption as program management director, I re-assessed all program managers and assistant program managers. After a thorough review of collected data and consultation with other experienced officers on my staff, I established a reliable oversight process to return all programs to on-track which resulted in zero discrepancies upon re-inspection and ultimately becoming the model program within the headquarters.Implemented a comprehensive training plan which resulted 1,430 qualifications and ensured qualified manning to meet operational and deployment requirements across three locations around the globe.

Maintained oversight of a challenging operational schedule to include 26 organic USS Carl Vinson departments, nine embarked squadrons, and three staffs with a multitude of competing priorities. Formulated weekly meetings to increase efficiency of scheduling resulting in an 80% reduction in re-scheduled events.Responsible for the daily coordination and production of the carrier flight schedule enabling the nine embarked squadrons to successfully complete 2,375 combat missions resulting in an 85% mission completion rate.Developed the plan of action for USS Carl Vinson Strike Group to return from a 10-month deployment to include port visits, training opportunities, at-sea replenishments, and operational requirements resulting in an on-time return to home port. These efforts included numerous contingency plans.Led rotating 15-man teams responsible for the safe navigation and operation of an aircraft carrier to include pulling in and out of port, replenishment at sea, anchorages, and flight operations.

Mission Commander for a 24-person aircrew conducting operational missions around the world. Assistant Training Department Head and Lead Naval Flight Officer Instructor. I led a team of 20 personnel that managed the qualification and training program for all 350+ aircrew in the squadron. I was also hand selected, and identified as a subject matter expert, to ensure all Naval Flight Officer certifications were met and current in order to maintain required operations. Led a team of 20 personnel managing a project of redeveloping the qualification and training program for three aircrew positions for the entire fleet of EP-3 aircraft. Maintained readiness at 90% while continuing to achieve a 98% mission completion rate throughout the project; no missions were lost due to manning shortfalls. Coordinated meetings with other deployed reconnaissance aircraft crews to enhance tactics, techniques, and procedures for integration purposes. This improved mission products for customers, validated reporting efforts, and increased cooperation by 35%. Awarded “Instructor of the Year” for 2010 from a pool of over 50 instructors across 6 different organizations and in recognition of superior leadership and outstanding assessment, planning, and implementation of strategies to develop and qualify upgrading Naval Flight Officers and which enabled continued success in operational missions.

I completed the Undergraduate Military Flight Officer (UMFO) training program in the T-6 Texan, the T-46 and the EP-3/NFO syllabus in preparation for assignment to my first aviation squadron. Graduated at the top of my class. Class leader throughout flight school leading class sizes of 6-12 personnel through all program requirements.
