About Jared F. Buckley

It’s 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣, EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE matters! Skills needed today are different. The need for intangible skills are 📈. Tangible skills are still important at the technician level, but top-performers and leaders are distinguished by their “soft skills” or "mental skills" rather than their “hard skills.” I coach those intangible skills like intuition, adaptability, influence, and other emotional intelligence skills. 🚒 15 years coaching sports, specifically baseball and football🚒 Specialize in mental skills in baseball🚒 Coached in business sector for last 6 years🚒 Coached/trained on millennial and generation topics🚒 Past few years focused strictly on emotional intelligence, performance improvement, and team performance 🚒 Coached/trained in many different industries and types of companies, from non-profit to large cooperations🚒 Given countless talks. Trained many teams, departments, and divisions🚒 Written for multiple publications< COACHING, SPEAKING, & TRAINING>>The difference between a good and great competitor is a fraction. The higher you get up in competition, organizations, and leadership, the difference in physical talent is small. At the high levels, everyone is extremely talented, so what will make the difference? It's the mental skills.Over the last 10+ years of coaching and running businesses, I've learned a lot about the modern competitor. The difference in their behaviors, motivations, and demeanors are slight, but they are big enough to make a difference. We are developing competitors differently today. How we train, coach, and teach is different today. And if you want to develop the great competitors, you need to develop their behaviors, driving factors, emotional intelligence, and soft skills. My objective is to help competitors develop the skills needed between the actual "battle". For a baseball player, that is between the pitches. For a firefighter, that is between each alarm. For a Fire Chief, that is between each meeting, decision, and leadership move they must make. For a business executive, it is between the moments of executing on a strategy and doing the "actual" work. The real work is done between the crucial moments. Specifically, my business operation is strategic, customized training and coaching designed to maximize employee's game-changinig abilities. Some examples are:✓Stress Empowerment Training✓EQ Training ✓Leadership Coaching ✓Group Coaching ✓Performance Improvement Coaching/Training✓Leadership DevelopmentEmail me, we can chat >> jbuck(at)jaredbuckley(dot)com

Fire Chief Coach

Current

Peoria, Us

FIRE CHIEFS - UNDERPAID/UNDERVALUED IN RELATION TO THEIR RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL. After transitioning much of my business to coaching executives, I was contacted by a new organization that immediately got my attention. It was a Fire Department in the Northwest. I won’t get into the details, but I have a connection to the fire service and it runs deep.I thought I would understand Fire Chiefs because I understood firefighters. As I started with working with one chief, then another, and then another, I began to understand there was something very unique about coaching Fire Chiefs. So I reached out to other Fire Chiefs I knew, and others I had been referred to. I listened, questioned, and absorbed all that I could. And there was something I came away with. FIRE CHIEFS ARE UNDERPAID & UNDERVALUED IN COMPARISON TO THEIR RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL. I am now moving nearly my whole business to only coaching Fire Chiefs. I still do some other things in my business, but my long-term goal is 80% coaching Fire Chiefs.Want to know more, contact me jbuck(at)jaredbuckley(dot)com

Work Performance Coach

Peoria, Us

Work performance is a top issue for all companies and organizations. Employees’ performances are evaluated by their production within the organization. So when a organization reaches out to me in regards to job performance issues, I know there are big problems. Job or work performance is determined by many factors, but when I work with an organization, I work directly with an employee to improve only what they can control. I want to find ways to elevate their performance rather than eliminate bad behaviors hurting performance. Sadly, I see too many organizations trying to eliminate work behaviors through performance improvement plans. I focus on something slightly different. I want to know what they NEED to do or improve rather than eliminate. Most of my work performance coaching tends to be “rescue” coaching rather than “proactive” coaching. Sometimes the rescue works, other times it is too far gone. Whatever the issue though, I work with the organization to get the best result for the organization and the employee at the end of the day.

Millennial Skills Coach

Peoria, Us

With the ever increasing working population being millennials and the change in the workforce, there are skills that this new working class needs. Many people from this generation have been taught, trained, and educated on the technical skills focusing on tech, science, and other necessary skills for today’s workplace. However, there are other skills that have been sacrificed in their development and that is where I spend my time coaching. For many people from the millennial generation, the need for higher levels of emotional intelligence are the keys to their growth and success. Through my coaching practice, I spend time finding the unique “soft skills” that will have the greatest return on investment. Once we have identified these skills, we hyper-focus our time and energy to elevate these skills to reach new heights of success. While I coach the next generation of leaders, my clients are businesses who see great potential and opportunity with a certain talent in their company, division, or team. Once we have identified the person, the opportunity, and the destination, then we get to work.

Founder/Ceo

Awfully Dirty Window Cleaning, Llc

With $100 and tenacity, Awfully Dirty Window Cleaning had become one of the leading window cleaning companies in the greater Salt Lake City area in just over 12 months. In that same timespan, the company had exceeded 6-figures and had hired more than 5 employees. As the CEO, I personally developed (with coaching) strong marketing, exceptional service, and effective talent development. Understanding the importance of people within even the window cleaning industry, I doubled down on developing not just window cleaners, but leaders. I quickly hired the best available talent that I could develop into team leads. Everything was about leadership development through planning and implementation.

Development Coach For Special Needs

Building Special Families

I coached parents and families who had children with special needs. I started this coaching practice out of my own personal experience with raising a little special girl with Down syndrome. The challenges and obstacles that parents face while raising a child with special needs is difficult. The pressure of always being on the clock and never feeling like you can take a breath is taxing. This is where I jumped in to help them overcome those obstacles and hardships. I worked parents through the challenges to see the opportunity, hope, and dreams of having a special gift from God.I launched a podcast called Building Special Families Podcast where I interviewed influencers in the special needs circle. The podcast would broadcast out to families to help them support and encourage them through their struggles to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

2012 - 2014 ~2 yrs

Director Of Leadership Development | Lead Pastor

The Journey Church

After launching the church in 2010, I stepped into the role of lead pastor over our congregation. I was responsible for the organization development and growth. Through the crossing of roles while at The Journey, I held a high regard for training, leading, and developing leaders to take large steps of faith in following Jesus. Weekly I would teach, train, and speak in front of the congregation. In addition, I regularly was leading small groups to set a culture to grow in their own personal journey of faith. I spent time developing and implementing programs that would allow the people and volunteers to expand their present status of faith and leadership. It was my responsibility to oversee all group gatherings and challenge leaders to take their next step in their development.

2010 - 2014 ~4 yrs

Director Of Student Ministries | Leadership Development

The Crossroads Church

I stepped into the beginning stages of our youth ministry at a brand new church. Immediately I learned my main responsibilities would involve training and developing volunteering leaders to lead the young teenagers to grow in their faith. I was the head pastor over the Jr. High and High School ministry to lead all facets of that ministry. I would teach multiple times every week engaging and applicable messages on growth, development, and maturity of faith.I led trainings and programs in the regards to our volunteer leaders monthly. These trainings were geared to teaching leadership development and how to mentor students. My main group of students were millennials getting ready to enter adulthood and head into college or a career. It was my responsibility to set them all for success. On top of leading, training, and developing I would work on different aspects of advertising and design for our church. Whether it was in the form of advertisement or presentations, I would do it. I spent some more time also doing video editing for my ministry and church on occasion.

2006 - 2010 ~4 yrs

Emergency Medical Technician (Emt)

Orange, Ca, Us

My main responsibilities was providing emergency medical care for patients on calls. We were stationed in house with the fire department and handled 911 calls that range from BLS to advanced emergency calls. I learned how to handle myself and take control of emergency situations that taught me more about leadership than I could have ever imagined. Until you are put into a life or death situation, you will never fully know how you would handle real conflicts in life. This was an irreplaceable experience in my development in leadership than I could have ever imagined.
