After servicing as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for over two decades, I have decided to help those in both the private and public sectors strategize and navigate the Hill.I served as the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee of the 112th Congress and the 113th Congress, where my priorities included ensuring that our troops deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq and around the world had the equipment, resources, authorities, training and time they needed to successfully complete their mission and return home.Prior to serving as the lead Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, I had the privilege of serving as the Chairman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee. I was committed to passing legislation to help our nation’s workforce and significantly strengthened career and technical education through the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act.I decided to leverage what I learned while serving on The Hill to create the McKeon Group, a foray into the private sector.
