As the Director of Campus Recreation Services I am responsible for the overall direction and management of campus recreation services and facilities (4) and the off-campus outdoor field complex. I supervise the directors of each unit and coordinate activities between them. I foster relationships with the campus community and external organizations. Provide leadership, budget management, and strategic planning in the development and implementation of programs and activities designed to provide for the needs of the university and community while enhancing students’ learning, personal growth, and development. Manage and direct all risk management responsibilities related to intramural activities, sports clubs, fitness center, fitness classes, outdoor adventure trips, etc.In addition to this role, I also serve as an adjunct faculty member within the School of Health Sciences, Department of Exercise Science. Areas of collaboration include: -Arousal management, stress management and sensitivity, and performance anxiety.-Resiliency, mental toughness, and motivation.-Group dynamics and processes, communication, leadership, and cohesion.-Performance enhancement through mindfulness and psychological skills training -Athletic development and transition, injury management, and overtraining. Individual and Private Work-Work with various athletes, teams, and coaches typically to enhance performance or team cohesion within an athletic setting. Techniques used include: team-building, mindfulness training, meditation, education, physiological profiling, physiological and performance testing, sport coaching, and sport training.-Additional coaching information can be provided per request.-Under certain circumstances, personal and professional standards and ethics ensure confidentiality to protect client-practitioner relationships.
