The point of this task force was to evaluate security cameras on campus and make recommendations as to coverage and policy. The attached report was the culmination of four months of work by invested parties from across the University of Washington campus representing students, police, administration, law, housing, emergency management, and more. I represented the student voice as a part of the task force. My contribution to the task force was to research other universities and find the best practices in other security camera programs. In collaboration with students on campus I drafted a security camera policy and recommendations that students wanted to see in the final report. This policy draft and student recommendations guided the development of the final policy in this report, and the recommendations given.
