Bucoda Warren is the Chief Policy Analyst in the Mayor's Office for the City of Tacoma, WA. In this role, he provides direct executive-level support, offers strategic advice on current issues, and conducts thorough research and analysis to inform decision-making. His expertise spans strategic planning and visionary implementation, complex community and stakeholder engagement projects, as well as project management and continuous improvement systems. Through his efforts, Bucoda enhances the operations of the Mayor’s Office, driving it toward greater efficiency, vision, and a spirit of hope and achievement.In addition to his professional responsibilities, Bucoda is deeply committed to supporting Asian and Pacific Islanders in government. He serves as an at-large board member of the International Network of Asian Public Administrators (I-NAPA) and has been instrumental in establishing a Washington Regional Board of I-NAPA. This initiative aims to expand learning and connection opportunities for API public employees across the state.Bucoda's career in local government spans over 7 years. He has previously held positions as an ICMA Management Fellow, City Council Policy Analyst, and most recently, Strategic Initiatives Coordinator, all with the City of Tacoma. He earned his Master of Public Administration (MPA) in 2018 from the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Policy and Governance and holds a Bachelor's degree from Washington State University.
