I've been in the biomedical device field for 30 years now. During the last 20+ years in the Diabetes space, I've had the privilege of being involved with the development of Closed-Loop therapy for Type 1 Diabetes - the often called "Artificial Pancreas."In the Integration Test group, my duties have ranged from bench-top system shake-downs to analyzing data from (and often attending in person) pilot human studies of our prototype systems. Seeing this technology learn to crawl, walk, then run over the years has been so rewarding. My teammates and I take our role in systems integration testing as a honored duty, knowing our work is so critical to the safety and well-being of our customers.
