I was born in Philadelphia, PA in the Mount Airy section. Moved to the Northeast, near Pine Road, at 10 years old. Went to George Washington High School, class of 1970.My first drawings were created on my bedroom wall while a toddler with an unusual, unsavory medium. After that drawing I was given my first box of crayons and paper. Drawing is still my favorite and I still like messy stuff, like charcoal, pastels and conte crayons.My artistic heroes are many and varied. Rembrandt , Chiam Soutine, Kathe Kollwitz, DeKooning, Mark Rothko, Toulouse Lautrec, Rubens, Mary Cassatt , Turner, Rodin, Gorky, to mention a few.
