• Championed a vision to bring a more systematic approach to contracting in BP's Upstream PSCM organization.• Established foundational contracting processes including:- Central governance and maintenance of standard contract templates- A contracting workflow with robust governance of contract deviations and awards- Improved integrity of the executed contract repository• Transformed the standard contract templates into a modular structure, reducing ~69 global and regional templates down to 4 base templates plus 11 regional templates. The new templates are:- Easier to maintain, assemble, read, negotiate and manage- More fit for purpose, including only clauses relevant for the applicable scope of work- Better-aligned to procurement via electronic purchase orders- Well-positioned for the future implementation of a contract drafting tool• Built a contracting center of excellence comprised of 10 subject matter experts who provide day-to-day support and coaching to procurement professionals as they develop and negotiate contracts.• Supported the development of training and other learning resources to improve the contracting competency in BP.• Member of a multi-discipline leadership team that manages the development, improvement and deployment of all procurement processes, systems, and standards, including: category management, purchase-to-pay, materials management, counterparty due diligence, and contractor management.• Collaborated with Legal to improve procurement's compliance with applicable laws and risk management policies, such as anti-bribery and corruption, human rights, ethics, and digital security.
