CurrentAPI was founded in 1978 after Bud graduated from Ithaca College as a photography major. The company provided freelance photographic services for over 18 years to ad agencies, PR firms, graphic designers, architects and Fortune 500 corporations; traveling both nationally and internationally. As the photo industry transitioned from film to computer file, Bud's viewfinder got larger and his gratification more instantaneous. Bud started working in Photoshop (v 2.0) and was soon providing digital images to clients and training graphic designers at Foxwoods. The work expanded into multimedia and Bud was running the PowerPoint at the meeting where New York Telephone and GTE announced their merger forming Verizon. Bud continued to provide on-site multimedia services for Verizon senior management meetings until the company moved their corporate headquarters from Manhattan to New Jersey. It soon became apparent that there were more computers to fix than PowerPoints to run, so Bud got A+ certification and started building HIPAA compliant networks for medical offices in Westchester and Fairfield counties.Good tech support requires both the ability to fix the problem as well as explain the issue so people can make educated decisions. This skill has allowed Bud to teach technology at Bi-Cultural Day School, provide parent presentations at schools and libraries around Fairfield County, CT, and SCORE workshops for small businesses.Whether a family, small business or sole-proprietor, API will take the time to listen to you, discuss your options and offer viable, u derstandable, cost-effective solutions
