Having devoted considerable time to my first job, I yearned for a fresh perspective and a personal challenge. This journey led me to an exploration of 21 cities in 9 countries where I did not speak the languages had never set foot before. Without a concrete itinerary, I purchased a one-way airplane ticket bound for London with only my backpack filled with clothes and a Eurail pass. It was my first time staying in hostels in a room full of strangers that I made friends with. These lifelong experiences broadened my outlook on both my professional and personal life, all the while fostering friendships and cultivating an appreciation for various cultures.

In this position, I handled money as a cashier, designed work orders for computers ranging from office PCs to enterprise server rack mounts, answered inquiries about different products, performed stock inventory, and processed purchases orders from corporate customers.I learned many tremendously valuable soft skills such as how to persuade a person to buy something, defusing explosive situations, and pushing beyond what a person says to understand what they truly want.

At SFSU, I worked as a fine-dining server and point of sales in a restaurant that was run entirely by hospitality management students.This opportunity provided insight about how everyone's roles and responsibilities fit into a restaurant business organization. I learned valuable teamwork skills and how to communicate with customers and other co-workers.
