Engineering Roles:- Performed failure analysis on several component designs, including electrical box sealing application, mechanical backlash on rotor gears, stepper motor torque requirements, mechanical fits of control panel buttons, etc.- Performed trade study analysis for improvements to locking mechanism redesigns, selection of alternate vendors for sourced controlled LRUs, common mounting provision techniques, etc.- Designed, prototyped, and integrated improved locking mechanisms for critical targeting operations, focusing on producibility and ease of assembly. Performed tolerance stack-up analysis for worst case scenarios, and using 1.5rms for statistical variance to improve manufacturability.- Function as liaison between engineer, planning, and manufacturing shop for fabrication, fit-up, and validation/verification efforts- Document and process TDP through release process
