I am a recent graduate from Michigan Technological University with a Master's degree in Civil Engineer with a focus in Geotechnical. I wrote my master's report on a landslide in Birmingham, Alabama, describing the probable causes of the ground failure. I reviewed the initial designs and investigated site conditions. I compared the assumptions made in the design with actual rock properties and used computer models with some hand calculation to determine the causes of failure. I also completed my Bachelor's of Civil Engineering at Michigan Tech. For my part of my team's senior project, designing falsework and formwork for the reconstruction of a bridge, I calculated the mat foundation dimensions, drew CAD 3-D models of the bridge and formwork, completed construction schedule, helped estimate project costs, reviewed structural equations, and contributed to project poster, report, and presentation.Throughout my life, I have focused on accuracy, integrity, and thoroughness in all my endeavors. I consider timeliness and organization to be essential. I enjoy working through problems, finding at least a few different solutions, and then applying the context to determine the best possible outcome.
