Buks is a technical director and a professional civil engineer with more than a decade of experience in the engineering field. He has more than seven and a half years' experience as a consulting engineer, resident engineer for construction supervision and as a project leader and has successfully completed numerous multidisciplinary projects.As a technical director under the skills group of land development services, Buks' responsibilities include the management of land development services, planning, design and implementation of civil engineering projects for private and government clients.He has also been involved in projects that range from high density low cost housing, municipal infrastructure, structural construction supervision, to large high end private residential estates. The most notable project that he was involved in as design engineer, resident engineer and project manager was the Pearl Valley Signature Golf Estate in Paarl; as project manager acting and also acting as the international developer's representative overseeing all aspects of the development. In addition, in February 2007 Buks joined Golf Data Holdings as contracts manager responsible for the administration of all Golf Data's contractual relationships in the fields of golf course construction, earthworks and landscaping. He was a member of the Golf Data executive committee involved in the day to day strategic decision making and assumed responsibility for the entire construction division.Buks is a registered professional civil engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). He holds a BEng degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
