The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is a charitable, not for profit, cultural organization whose mission is to transform the way people see the world. Its vision is to lead the world in creative and cultural discovery through the moving image. As the Associate Producer, I assist in the planning and execution of the TIFF Rising Stars programme. Roles and responsibilities include; but are not limited to, seeking out, and selecting eight actors for the Rising Stars programme, writing offer contracts, making editorial edits, rewriting wire copy, execution of programme logistics, pitching digital marketing campaign ideas, managing online traffic, research and analyze brand awareness, guide editorial content of the program, assist with promotions, handle all bookings, as well as manage schedule, and seasonal hours.

As an associate producer, I weigh factors such as the cost to acquire the rights to a play, size of the target audience and merchandising potential, along with any and all online digital marketing content and materials.

Working as the Associate Artist and Communications, Events/ Fundraising at pounds per square inch performance (lbs/sq”), I was responsible for creating an online footprint for the company. This included creating all content for email campaigns, show events, school tour bookings, and digital marketing materials for all workshops and season programming. I worked closely with Artistic Director, Gerry Trentham, to implement a strategic digital marketing plan for the 2016-2017 season.

Working on the Board of Directors for Mixed Company Theatre, I develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization. With the Artistic team and Admin staff we develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the programs/productions for the up-coming seasons. In the New Year the Board of Directors will develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the company, along with creating a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the company/season and to identify areas for improvement.

This includes tracking and reporting the project’s cost, schedule, performance and inter- dependencies. To be effective, a thorough knowledge of the projects formal and informal organization structure is imperative. Full cycle recruitment process including sourcing for both candidates and new clients.I was responsible for individual on-line sourcing, direct recruiting, reference checks, resume screening and phone screen interviews. I independently conducted face-to-face interviews with candidates to qualify for various IT infrastructure positions.I was also on the Marketing Board to promote and network with companies to push Jobspring's brand image and reputation. Our team held Tech in Motion events reaching up to 500+ in IT professional attendees.

Working as the Outreach and Project Manager at Mixed Company Theatre (MCT), I was responsible managing and facilitating performances, managing show/rehearsal bookings, projecting budget forecasts for upcoming productions and workshops, and writing grants. Grants written; but not limited to: Organizational Development Project Grant, Artist in Libraries Grant, Bell: Mental Health Grant, Catherine Maxwell Meighen Foundation, and Theatre Creators’ Reserve for the Ontario Arts Council.I worked directly with Artistic Director, Simon Malbogat, to ensure artistic integrity while implementing a strategic marketing and programming plan for the 2013-2014 season. While at Mixed Company Theatre, I wore many professional hats and was also responsible for stage management, wardrobe, and production management during the run of MCT’s season programming.

Working as the Marketing Manager/Performer for the collective performance, Unemployment Unanimous at Mixed Company Theatre, I wrote and performed in the show as a collective with eight other arts professionals. As Marketing Manager I was responsible for writing all press releases and communicating with the media to promote the production. I was also responsible for creating and maintaining a marketing work back schedule during the rehearsals/ run of the show. It was my responsibility to ensure that the performance had complete media coverage during the run of the show.

Performs a variety of entry-level professional administrative staff work related to Second City admin needs. Provide admin support to office operations. Answering phones, data entry, conference coordination, meeting organizing. Attending Second City events and performances. Coordinate, create, or update project communications

Markets Brock University Student initiates and campus events by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking sales data; maintaining promotional materials inventory; planning meetings and managing volunteer groups; maintaining databases; preparing reports; social media outreach, and sent out event press releases.

Under the direction of the Technical Director and Master Carpenter. Uses power tools to build, andassemble all scenic elements of the set (i.e. Flats[walls], platforms, doors etc.), props etc. Also one of the other running crews for the performances of the show.
