CurrentAs a Medior Scientist in the Sustainable Heating & Cooling Systems team, I contribute to advancing heat pump technologies and their applications to support the energy transition in the built environment.Key Responsibilities:• Contributing the standardization of dynamic test methods for heat pumps in collaboration with international partners.• Acting as the scientific lead in research projects, including project planning and acquisition.• Maintaining a strong international network in the field of sustainable heating and cooling systems.• Mentoring and coaching junior team members.• Securing national (e.g., PPS Toeslag, TKI Toeslag, MOOI, DEI) and international (EU) funding, and fostering B2B collaborations.Previous Roles:Scientist – Sustainable Heating & Cooling Systems (Heat Pump Application Lab)Jan 2020 – Aug 2023• Developed the Emulator test facility to evaluate (hybrid) heat pump performance under dynamic conditions.• Designed control strategies to improve heat pump COP and reduce building energy use.• Contributed to custom test setups, data acquisition, and communication systems.• Assessed low-temperature heating solutions for existing building stock.Scientist – Energy Modelling, Monitoring & Control TeamOct 2018 – Jan 2020• Conducted dynamic energy simulations using TRNSYS and Simulink.• Built digital twins of buildings with RC models in MATLAB/Python.• Assessed renovation concepts for energy efficiency and occupant comfort.• Optimized building energy measures through iterative modelling and data analysis.
