As an NDT Engineering Specialist, I am responsible for the recipe of existing NDT equipment used to evaluate the quality of Powder Metal Automotive parts as required by our customers. I am also responsible to test the capabilities of new NDT equipment against customer requirements and plant standards. As a Jr. Quality Engineering Specialist (Co-op), I was part of the quality team responsible for clutch backing plates. I conducted various studies and presented results to the team, which helped them improve the overall process of these clutch plate manufacturing lines. This activity resulted in a significant reduction of the scrap rate of these lines and helped me grow confidence in my problem-solving skills.As a teaching assistant at McMaster University, I had the opportunity to conduct tutorials for three different courses. This includes two First-year physics courses designed for Engineering students and Second-year Mechanics of Materials and statics course designed for Mechanical Engineering students. For my contribution as a teaching assistant, I have been awarded the best teaching assistant award in winter 2017.
