As the Head of Group Card Business; I am in charge of: increase Group Cards’ P&L, cut down costs, increase efficiency, put more robust process and procedures in place, follow market trends and challenges, but most of all, try to implement new business ideas which would boost the Card Business of the Group. Some of my key roles are:- Managing the P&L across the Group- Defining the Mid/Long term Cards strategy of the Group- Steering the Group towards common goals- Focusing on market challenges and opportunities such as contactless, Pos installments, spending control tools, mobile payments (Nfc) so on and so forth- Making sure that local card activities are in line with Group’s Card Life Cycle Management concept- Defining the Key Performance Indicators for the countries (KPIs) and holding performance talks on a regular basis- Advocating and sponsoring the consolidation of different Card Management Systems under one umbrella- Maintaining efficiency and cost reductions through cost analysis and contract management- Creating benchmarks and best practise sharing platforms Show less

As the head of the Group Card Operations I had the previlige to; implement information and governance tools, map the cost and operations structure of the Group, align some Group Card contratcs under one master agreement and most importantly initiate streamlining of all card operations and back office systems and staff across the region, which was one of the largest and most successful projects of Erste Group.Those efforts enabled us to increase efficieny and create a common Group approach.
