Quantification of microplastics through staining and microscopy.• The isolation of pharmaceuticals (drugs and antibiotics) from sediment and water using solid phase extraction (SPE)• The analysis of pharmaceuticals (drugs and antibiotics concentration) using LC (Agilent 1200) coupled with qqqMS (Agilent 6410).• The development of methods for LC-MS analysis using the acquisition and quantitative software available (Agilent MassHunter Quantitative).• The isolation of persistent organic pollutants (POP) from sediment, water and tissue samples using liquid- liquid extraction (LLE).• The analysis of POP (concentration) using GC (Agilent 7890B) coupled with qqqMS (Agilent 7010B).• The development of methods for LC-MS analysis using the acquisition and quantitative software available (Agilent MassHunter Quantitative).• Writing and publishing papers based on results and interpretation of data.• Reviewing articles for the Transylvanian Review of Systematical and Ecological Research Journal.
