I helped open, set up, clean, and close the store, as well as manage my responsibilities as a server. These included waiting tables, sometimes hosting, cleaning after my table, and things of the like.

During this internship, I collected samples, surveyed various ecosystems; aided in the creation and maintenance of man-made restorative wetlands; checked on maintenance requests; regularly conducted pressure testing of the potable and sanitary water systems; conducted fireflows; contributed to local outreach programs; and aided in the design of new infrastructure using AutoCAD and ArcGIS. I worked as an environmental engineering intern, in which I mostly used AutoCAD to update reports, update data on maps, map making, and more. I also often interpreted the ground and surface water data I was given to optimize the map for engineers to review later. I often worked on restoration projects that aimed at making the area safe to build on for commercial purposes.

While working at this establishment, I would complete and be responsible for a variety of tasks. Not only did I manage orders and customers, but I also was responsible for the money management, any problems that may arise during the shift, making the custard, and the management of the staff during my shifts.

During this time, I interned under multiple chemical engineering mentors and carried out a variety of tasks. These tasks included assisting in experiments, conducting my own experiments, writing and editing standard operating procedures, conducting maintenance requests, inspecting process lines and equipment, and filing reports.
