Responsible for Application Portfolio Management process at GM. This optimizes systems investment decisions, as part of the annual portfolio planning. It also drives system convergence, consolidation, and globalization where it makes sense; and clarifies where it does not. APM highlights End of Serviceable Life conditions across the landscape.

• Develop and manage annual portfolio of $10 million.• Develop and manage portal architecture and product roadmap.• Responsible for setting project scope and initiating new projects.• Lead 7 development teams (150 FTEs).• 95% of milestones on time (100% within two weeks).• Drove 20% improvement in Quality Assurance scores.• Implemented iterative development approach resulting in reduced change requests and deployments in a fraction of the previous time.• Saved $2+ million per year by consolidating 4 portals to a single global portal

• Lead Systems Engineering Process Group.• Lead division to CMMi Level 2 Certification.• Successfully managed development of an industrial engineering labor balancing system.• Defined process and deployed tools in the areas of project management (Niku), requirements management (CaliberRM), and configuration management (PVCS).• Managed 6 full-time equivalent employees.

• Managed all aspects of IS infrastructure and new product development for 75 employee consulting company. Responsible for $200,000 IS budget.• Drove development of a new e-commerce business unit dedicated to outsourcing laboratory billing. Revenue from this product line was expected to exceed that of the previous corporate total within three years.• Raised the rated satisfaction with the Information Systems Department from 4 before I came aboard to over 9.• Drove the company to standard hardware and software, as well as preferred vendors resulting in reduced support costs as well as greater buying power with a $200,000 budget.• Migrated from NetWare to Windows NT including SQL Server, Microsoft Systems Management Server, and Microsoft Exchange Server - requiring only 50% of the resources previously required.• Eliminated two network protocols which greatly eased support costs and decreased downtime to 10% of its previous level.

• Designed, implemented, and administered a departmental web site using Windows NT and Internet Information Server. The site used ActiveX controls and generated real time reports by querying an MS SQL database.• Seamlessly upgraded office from NetWare 3 to NetWare 4.• Administered NetWare servers and Lotus Notes servers for 500 users.• Maintained a Frame Relay WAN connection using a CISCO 4000 router.• Planned and implemented the upgrade of 500 users from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95. • Provided all types of hardware and software support.
