Managed and coordinated national tobacco control planning, policy and evaluation issues for CDC's Office on Smoking and Health.

Coordinated intra-Departmental policy activities, including national disaster recovery efforts.

Advised Senator on health care reform issues and other health policy areas. Assisted in development of health care reform strategy. Developed health legislation, monitored and researched health issues, and wrote Senator's statements, public speeches, editorials and articles.

Headed national college scholarship programs for the Navy Recruiting Command. Developed and implemented national recruiting policies, activities and advertising for the college scholarship programs and affirmative action preparatory school.
