Jodi Jardon is a 3rd Grade Teacher at Richland School District 400. She possess expertise in time management, customer service, powerpoint, microsoft word, marketing communications and 5 more skills. For the past two years, Jodi has been involved in the CATS (Connecting Alumni To Students) program that I oversee. Members of the CATS program are the official campus traditions keepers. She most recently is serving as the organization’s committee co-chair for Membership Development. Jodi is a self-starter—she sees the work that needs to be done and does not need a lot of direction. While serving as a committee chair Jodi has stepped up to the plate and streamlined the recruitment of new member recruitment. As a member of CATS Jodi has worn many hats: she has worked with alumni, faculty, current students and community leaders. She is able to walk into a room of strangers and come out friends with everyone. Her strong communication skills are an asset for our team when dealing with alumni pre-games, receptions, reunions and community visits. Jodi has helped to educate current students on the history and traditions of UNI, and she has helped to shape our students into wonderful alumni. Jodi is very compassionate when it comes to working with current students, parents, UNI faculty, staff members and alumni! Balance has been one of the cornerstones of Jodi’s college experience. I have marveled at how she has been able to balance her experience and be successful in all areas. Jodi has taken her place toward the top of my list for students who are not only dedicated to making a difference – but are willing to go above and beyond to achieve what they set out to accomplish.
