Hungry, ambitious, and ready for anything. I’m Joshua Burke, a 1st year honors student here at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University – Bloomington. I’m pursuing an Economic Consulting/Business Analytics Co-Major with a Minor in Political Science. On campus, I’m actively involved with TAMID Group, the Hutton Honors Council Association, and Kelley Student Government. Oh, and I’m also an up-and-coming DJ, who plays sports in his free time.Having served as the Executive Vice President of a 13,000+ member organization (Florida DECA), I’ve developed strong skills of leadership and emotional intelligence, which I’ve then applied to my other positions such as Chief of Marketing for the Jewish National Charity, as well as serving as a flag football coach for youth. Growing up in South Florida, I’ve learned to embrace change and am at Kelley to expand my perspective even more.Motivated by my desire to be a disrupter in a world of continuity, I’m passionate about creating real change. I’m not one to back down from complex challenges, especially if they lead to meaningful results. Integrity and adaptability are my core values, and you can count on me to be the hardest worker in the room.. In the short-term, I aim to amass a wealth of knowledge incomparable to anyone else in the shortest amount of time driven by pure passion. In the long-term, I plan to never stop the learning journey and work as a consultant and continue to solve problems, individually or with a team. I don’t just believe in work-life balance; I’m aiming for work-life harmony — where loving what I do is at the heart of everything. After all, “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”
