Earlier in my career I was tasked with designing air compressors and pressure washer products. Air compressors ranged from consumer oil free compressors to oil lube light industrial compressors to oxygen concentrator two-cylinder compressors. Our team conceived, tested, and perfected pressure washer pumps and accessories, achieving outstanding performance and longevity.In the agricultural industry, I devised a design of experiments to improve the wet seal performance of centrifugal pumps, provided customer service support for hydraulic powered pumps and PWM controlled hydraulic powered pumps. In the orthopedic industry, I provided mechanical design and project management for medical device clients. I developed project proposals containing the statement of work, high level project timeline, and cost of each project phase. I developed and maintained the DHF for each project I led, ensuring appropriate documentation. Different customers required different CAD systems so I was able to gain experience using SolidWorks, Creo, and Siemens NX.Medical device design projects ranged from anterior cervical plate with locking screw, screw retention drivers, preparation instrumentation for spinal interbody fusion devices, bone screws with novel inserter device for foot and ankle applications, bipolar and total hip replacement instrumentation, partial load bearing antibiotic hip cement spacer system, and instrumentation enhancements for implantation of an IM nail system.With this wide range of design, product development, and project management experience, I am looking for an opportunity to learn new skills, solve new problems, and develop new, innovative products.
