• Automated three emergency operating procedures for a nuclear reactor simulator in a C-based program, allowing the research team to quickly run many tests of the procedures’ effectiveness and added multithreading to improve programs’ performance.• Developed an multithreaded analytical tool in C that automatically extracts important information from the simulator’s database into a csv to measure the reactor’s condition over time.• Created client program APIs in both Python and C that use HTTP requests to interact with the simulators server, achieving a 10x performance boost over the previous DLL library based approach.• Re-implemented one of the simulator’s internal control algorithms in Python, allowing the research team to customize and replace internal algorithms as needed.
