VistaPath is reinventing pathology by bringing automation and machine learning into the lab - saving customers time and money while creating a safer experience for patients. Their first product is a software-driven, hardware-enabled smart workspace that seamlessly interacts with technicians to revolutionize lab operations. I co-founded and developed the venture from concept through funding ($11M) and commercial release of regulated health tech product. I owned product development including design iteration, data security and (FDA) compliance, IP, manufacturing, and customer deployment. Built and scaled venture teams and organizational structure from first hire.

Completed a graduate degree in a joint program between MIT Sloan School of Business and MIT's Engineering System Division. Focus on technical and business management, including novel research on systematic multi-criteria decision-making in life sciences.

Provided key support to the corporate finance team, with an emphasis on analyzing and managing external analysts’ performance projections of Vertex. Developed internal presentations to upper management. Explored revisions to internal M&A analysis, including decision processes and valuation.

Oversaw all technical management and manufacturing efforts for aerospace operations; drove process and technical improvements. Developed new manufacturing department including design of novel customer product line. Provided primary customer POC and explored new business opportunities.

Developed new methods for tracking manufacturing output - successfully meeting internal and external goals to quantify and control production output. Designed new manufacturing process and owned all process design; provided technical expertise for all aspects of aerospace operation.

Oversaw technical and process development for multiple customer projects including GE and Nordex. Delivered technical expertise to resolve ongoing manufacturing challenges; designed and managed production of multimillion dollar tooling for commercial wind turbine blade manufacture.

Owned various manufacturing projects, working in renewable energy, automotive, and marine industries. Developed tooling and drove all process engineering work. Supplied costing and schedule estimates, and aided in attainment of new clients, enabling venture expansion.

Spearheaded construction projects for $4M-$8M yachts; owned project scheduling, production management, and internal design. Acted as primary customer contact and maintained contract accountability; negotiated contract changes, costing, and all product requirements. Directed all internal design efforts. Led up to 50-person design and build team.

Led production activities for advanced composite products, including river turbines and racing yachts valued from $2M-$4M, on 3- to 5-month building schedules. Managed design and construction of composite tooling and highly engineered structural elements. Interfaced regularly with owners’ representatives, forged critical relationships with external designers/engineers. Supervised up to 20 employees.

Integral member of research team that identified in-vivo molecular targets for pharmaceuticals using model organisms (C. elegans). Played key role in analysis of results and development of presentations to strategic partners and other clients.
