Colleagues describe him as "Chris and four other fellow Stanford University undergrads spent about six weeks during Summer 2011 at AGN SCHOOL, an English medium school located in a rural area of Southern India. During their stay, they worked closely with our teachers to fundamentally re-engineer the delivery of lessons in our class rooms to greatly enhance vocabulary development, listening, reading and conversation skills. The program, called LEAP (Learning English for Achievement and Progress) created a lot of excitement among students and staff and was considered a big success! Chris played a crucial leadership role in shaping the course of the LEAP program affecting about 800 students. He rallied the Stanford team for realigning their assignments, collaborated effectively with AGN leads, and successfully drove the initial implementation, which included methodology orientation training for all teachers. Chris was also very hands-on and directly contributed to the design and delivery of the curriculum materials, while tuning the course by taking active feedback. Based on the success with English, the LEAP methodology has now been adopted for all other subjects at the school."
