With over 40 years of dynamic experience in the beauty industry, I have built a reputation as a visionary leader, mentor, and innovator. As the previous owner of Elevate (now Wyld Roots) Salon in Arvada, Colorado, I spent 21 years creating a sanctuary where clients could escape the everyday and rediscover their best selves. Our full-service salon quickly became a community favorite, recognized as Arvada’s top salon for five consecutive years and proudly serving as a Certified Summit Salon.My journey has been filled with incredible milestones: I’ve had the honor of working with Miss Colorado Pageant participants for eight years, sponsoring the Colorado Mammoth Cheerleaders, and earning numerous advanced certifications, including DevaCurl, Redken Specialist, Xtreme Lash, and Curl Cult. My salon was among the first in Colorado to develop a grant-based apprentice/internship program, paving the way for future beauty professionals.My expertise spans business management, hair styling, lash artistry, retail management, and industry education. I’m passionate about mentoring the next generation of stylists, having guided countless associates through the Summit Salon Associate program and beyond. My commitment to education extends beyond the salon floor, where I’ve actively engaged with the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and the Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP).Looking ahead, I’m excited to explore new opportunities that align with my passion for education, mentorship, and industry innovation. My goals include:- Supporting the growth of new stylists and entrepreneurs through hands-on mentoring and strategic guidance.- Expanding into education and consulting, with a focus on addressing industry knowledge gaps via online courses, podcasts, or personalized consulting.- Advocating for work-life balance, promoting a culture that values personal time and excellence during work hours.- Staying connected to the beauty community by mentoring and offering consultation to new salon owners and stylists.Success for me is defined by the impact I can make on the next generation, empowering others to achieve their goals, embracing continuous learning, and fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
