Responsible for the management of a department of five Commercial Analysts and two Pricing Clerks. Providing both scheduled and bespoke analysis to the business, customers & suppliers as well as managing the maintenance of the product & pricing files for over 70,000 SKUs.Currently working on a large scale project to transfer existing IT systems to Travis Perkins in-house systems, with specific responsibility for product & pricing management as well as data analysis.Liaise with Category Directors to roll out new product within the business, providing analysis to ensure products are pitched at an appropriate price and that margins are acceptable at both branch and company level.Working with the National Sales Director as part of the Customer Pricing review team, on a full review of the mechanisms used to price products to our customers in order to improve our position within the market.Conduct impact analysis on changes to pricing strategy for different product areas, coordinating their implementation within the business to ensure customers are unaffected whilst enhancing margins within the branches.Co-ordinate the bi-annual branch stocktake on behalf of the Finance Director; ensuring the processes are in place to provide accurate stock figures and provisions whilst minimising the impact on the business.Work with the Accounts and Audit teams each quarter to review the Gross Profit Variances within the branch accounts, identifying problems to address with the branches and suggesting process and data changes to improve the accuracy of the accounts.Offering a single point of contact to the business for operational and system queries, liaising with the group IT teams on system developments and communicating their rollout to the wider business.Provide support to the Management Accounts team to streamline the accounting process by providing enhanced management information and process automation.

As part of my promotion to Commercial Project Manger I was seconded to the group IT department on a part-time basis to represent the PTS Commercial Team. Business Lead for the largest IT project in the history of the group, implementing K8 into our Central Functions and Distribution Centres.Used process mapping and scenario modeling to specify and test developments made to the K8 system by the software house.Presented quarterly updates to the Group Board regarding the progress of the project in relation to the Commercial and Contract areas of the K8 system. Provided analytical support to the Group Development Director during the initial phases of the Travis Perkins merger, producing terms equalisation models and coordinating product catalogue matching.Worked on the branch divestment team during the Travis Perkins merger, providing the Acquisition Director with operational support and analysis for the OFT during the sale of 11 PTS branches.Visited major customers with our Key Accounts teams, reviewing the processes of both companies in order to offer bespoke data and pricing solutions to tie in business.Ran training courses for senior staff in the business in the use of our sales analysis tool Phocas.

Responsible for all analysis requirements for the Area Directors and Sales Managers.Created unique invoicing solutions for customers through the automation of reports using our in-house systems and via third party invoicing companies such as Coins and CEL.Designed a price checking system which enabled the automatic analysis of prices paid versus prices quoted to identify errors and the potential credit impact.Generated a new set of spend reports for the Sales Force, enabling them to better target customer and product opportunitiesAutomated customer POD requests to branches through the use of MS Access.Monitored and calculated customer rebates, informing the Key Account team when thresholds were neared and arranging with the accounts team to raise cheques.Produced monthly spend documents to allow customers to claim rebates from suppliers.Worked with the Commercial Manager to identify GPV issues and advise management teams as necessary.

Assisting the pricing team with large supplier increases in excess of 1,000 SKUs
