Operations Officer for the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion (HHB); a theater-level, multi-component HHB consisting of the staffs of the United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the Eighth Army, the UNC Honor Guard Company, the CP TANGO Security Company and the Eighth Army Band. Responsible for the plans, operations, training and support requirements for over 2600 soldiers, civilians and Korean Augmentees to the U.S. Army (KATUSA); synchronizes and trains the operations cell in support of all missions and taskings received from the Eighth Army and USFK staff in support of the defense of the Korean Peninsula.• Planned the battalion’s participation in and led the execution of three combined and joint exercises: Ulchi Freedom Guardian 12, Yama Sakura 63 (Japan), and Key Resolve 13.• Planned and executed the Spartan Pre-Air Assault Competition for 24 Soldiers on the order of merit list, all eight soldiers that represented HHB graduated.• Planned and supervised the Best Spartan Competition consisting of: warrior tasks, crossfit, foot march, water survival, land navigation and the rope climb.
