● Anchor newscasts with authority, credibility, and relatability● Write daily news show and packages for air same day on deadline● Work with news director and technical director on editorial, ethical and legal issues● Provide leadership, plans ahead, communicates effectively, and works collaboratively withstaff about the newscast and necessary changes

● Develop and maintain local and regional contacts for comment on a variety of stories● Responsibly takes care of equipment: camera, microphone, computer & vehicle● Responds and works well during breaking news coverage, handling and communicating lastminute deadlines, and unexpected changes.● Interview guests and reports stories during the daily broadcast.
